Post Office

A Post Office Outreach Service will be opening in Market Bosworth from tomorrow, 5 September 2017.

The service will be based in the Parish Hall on Park Street and will operate twice a week on Tuesdays between 1.00 - 3.00 pm and Thursdays between 2.30 - 4.30 pm.

Bosworth 1485

It is planned to commission a linked series of public artworks to mark the legacy of the Battle of Bosworth and subsequent history in relation to Market Bosworth, Sutton Cheney, Dadlington and Stoke Golding.

The Parish Council has been asked if it can contact the Police to request effective traffic enforcement within the town. One of the magnificent lime trees on the Springfield Avenue / Station Road grass island is to be felled because it is infected with an aggressive, fungal like pathogen (Phytophthora). Speeding traffic

Speeding traffic

At the request of the Parish Council, Leicestershire Police has carried out speed surveys on The Park.

The statistics generated prove a community concern about speeding traffic on this road and apparently justify deployment of safety camera vans in due course.

Mobile speed camera vans are to patrol a number of new 'community concern' sites in Hinckley and Bosworth including Station Road, Market Bosworth. Community concern sites are those that have been highlighted by members of the public because of concerns of excessive speed of traffic
