Temporary Traffic Regulation Order to enable Gas Works

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order for public safety for Cadent and their contractors to undertake the installation of new gas mains in the town.

Temporary parking restrictions are required on Station Road, Market Bosworth as the scheme moves along Station Road between Springfield Road and Godsons Hill from 11th July 2022 for up to 8 weeks. Temporary traffic signals will be in use in conjunction with road closures.

Road closures are also required on Weston Drive, Heath Road, Springfield Avenue and Godsons Hill, Market Bosworth as the scheme moves along Station Road from 11th July 2022. The highway will be clear of all TM on 21st July 2022.

The initial road closure will be across the junction of Weston Drive from 11th July 2022 for up to 2 weeks. The next road closure will be across the junction with Heath Road and is due to start on 25th July 2022 for up to 2 weeks. The next road closure will be across the junction with Springfield Avenue and is due to start on 1st August 2022 for up to 2 weeks. The next road closure will be across the junction with Godsons Hill and is due to start on 8th August 2022 for up to 2 weeks. The next road closure will be Heath Road between junction of Station Road and Springfield Avenue on 22nd August 2022 for up to 2 weeks.

There will only be one road closure on at a time. These dates are subject to change as the scheme progresses and advanced warning signs will go out confirming the start date nearer the time. Residents will also receive a letter from Cadent in advance of the work with more information.

The proposed alternative diversion routes will be signed on site.
