Rural Community Council: Telephone support
The Rural Community Council (Leicestershire & Rutland) is a local charity – known as the RCC - which works to support people across rural Leicestershire and Rutland to build connections, tackle issues and overcome disadvantage.
The RCC is offering a temporary support service during this period of lockdown. The team are available to provide some company and conversation to those people who are isolated or alone during the coronavirus outbreak. During these challenging times the team are committed to supporting rural communities and are on the end of the phone for anyone to call for a friendly chat: phone 01455 856330 (Monday to Friday, from 9am to 4pm).
The RCC hopes this service can be helpful to some, but please note it is not intended to replace or compete with similar schemes that may have already arisen as a local response to the current crisis.
