New Directions for Growth Consultation 2019

Consultation will start on Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council's 'New Directions for Growth' Paper on Monday 7 January 2019. The consultation is the next stage in the review of the Local Plan.

The paper was approved for public consultation at Council on the 27 November 2018 and the purpose of the consultation is to seek the views of the public on where new housing and employment development should be located in the borough.

A call for sites exercise is being held alongside the consultation, where the Borough Council is asking the public and other stakeholders to submit sites to the Borough Council which may have the potential for housing and/or employment development.

All relevant documents can be found on the Borough Council's website at www.hinckley-bosworth.gov.uk/localplanreview when the consultation goes live on Monday 7 January. Printed copies of the documents are also available at the Hinckley Hub and at local libraries. For more information on this please get in touch via the details below.

Details of consultation events, where planning officers will be present to answer questions and take comments, are also available on the website. Planning officers will be available at a series of drop-in events across the borough to discuss residents' views, answer any questions, and advise on how to submit comments. Programmed events include one in Market Bosworth at the Parish Hall, Park Street, on Tuesday 29 January 2019 between 5.00 pm - 8.00 pm.

The local libraries have also been sent a copy of the document, a poster and leaflets to put on display alongside the other HBBC Local Plan documents.

If you have any queries please contact the Planning Policy team on 014555 255898 or email PlanningPolicy@hinckley-bosworth.gov.uk

The consultation will run until Sunday 3 March 2019.
