Thanks to the hard work of the Bosworth in Bloom team and many local community volunteers, Market Bosworth has won the 2017 East Midlands Britain in Bloom competition in the large village category, achieving an RHS gold medal and 186 points out of 200. The judges also awarded various discretionary awards. Well done!

A Post Office Outreach Service will be opening in Market Bosworth from tomorrow, 5 September 2017.
The service will be based in the Parish Hall on Park Street and will operate twice a week on Tuesdays between 1.00 - 3.00 pm and Thursdays between 2.30 - 4.30 pm.

A Local Public Consultation opened on 30 June 2017 in respect of proposed re-opening of Post Office services to Market Bosworth in the form of a new Hosted Outreach service.

The Parish Council is taking over responsibility for the public toilet block in Back Lane from 1 April 2017. The facilities will be closed from 1 - 9 April 2017 inclusive to enable some essential maintenance to be carried out. It is intended to reopen the toilet block on Monday 10 April 2017. During the closure the nearest alternative public toilets can be found at Market Bosworth Country Park.

Good news regarding Post Office services
The latest update with regard to provision of Post Office services in Market Bosworth is that the town has been designated for an outreach service which will provide full Post Office services for two half days per week. The provision will be reviewed based on demand. A location is currently being sought with one or two options being considered.

The Parish Council has been asked if it can contact the Police to request effective traffic enforcement within the town.
